WHAT IS GSR?
We like to think of GSR as a "Multisport Support Group", an organization where athletes can form friendships and meaningful bonds while becoming fit and healthier.
GREEN STORM RACING WAS CREATED IN 2004 AND IS A NEW YORK CITY BASED MULTISPORT TRAINING PROGRAM AND RACING CLUB. GSR COMPETES IN RACES ALL ACROSS THE U.S.A. WHETHER IT'S A TRIATHLON or DUATHLON ....YOU'LL FIND THE GREEN STORM THERE!!!
No longer will multisport athletes have to race or train alone. Green Storm Racing Club will be here to guide you.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: COMMITMENT, DESIRE, PASSION, SELFLESSNESS, TEAM LOYALTY AND TEAM SPIRIT.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF GSR?
The main purpose of this team is to motivate one another to excel in all aspects of sport and of life. To share past race experiences (course set up and organization) training regiments, tools and tricks of the trade, making every team members' multisport experience the best ever.
We at GSR want to use Triathlon/Duathlon as a positive outlet in our lives. We want to enjoy our involvement in the sport and let that positive energy carry over to other areas in our lives. There is no pressure to be the fastest or pressure to race every race. Don't get me wrong, we are passionate about the sport and strive to be the best we can be, but to add pressure to something we love is not what GSR is about.
WHICH RACES?
I understand that race fees can get expensive, so it's the club members' choice whether or not he or she can compete. If another club member wants to race a different race, by all means sign up. The events on the schedule are not mandatory. They are just a list of sanctioned races that are out there, if anyone wants to register.
WHAT DOES IT COST AND WHAT DO YOU GET?
For a small yearly donation, you will be able to become a part of an exciting multisport movement, train and meet other athletes sharing the same goals and take advantage of the many GSR perks and discounts throughout the city. Sponsors and Partners have given our team free products and discounts on services throughout the city. We are also working hard to increase the perks and benefits that each club member receives throughout the year. Club members will also have access to tons of training programs through our website. GSR tri uniform included.
